Dr Patrick Njoroge shines at 10th African Banker Awards
Dr Patrick Ngugi Njoroge, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya was named the African Central Bank Governor of the Year at the 10th African Banker Awards.
The awards, which are held annually as part of the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank, celebrate excellence in banking and finance on the African continent. Winners of this years awards were selected from over 200 entries from across the continent.
Governor Njoroge, who was appointed Governor of the CBK last year, was lauded for cleaning up the Kenyan banking sector through improved supervision of commercial banks operating in the country.
