Judyth Engels is a Digital Economy Expert with 16 years’ hands-on experience and a track record of successfully delivering impactful solutions in emerging markets. She has led key projects including payment digitization initiatives, harnessing the digital economy for job creation and private sector development, provision of strategic technical assistance and conducted multiple small to large scale consultative studies to guide program design and implementation. Ms Engels has highly valued expertise in cross border payments, Alternative Delivery Channels, Human Centred Design and product management. She has also conducted multiple quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methodology research studies on cross border payments with Developing Markets Associates (DMA) including cross border payment country diagnostics for Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia; a gap analysis for Kenya and demand side study for Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Ms Engels holds an MBA from United States International University-Africa, Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from IHRM-K and a Bachelors’ degree in Business Management from Moi University, Kenya.
