Carol Matiko is an experienced qualitative researcher who works collaboratively with various FSD teams. She is also highly experienced in fieldwork management having being a project lead for a number of large quantitative surveys. Her multi-sectorial experience touching on financial access, health, agriculture, livelihood, education, youth and housing has given her a broad perspective which coupled with her deep knowledge of local issues especially around women and youth are invaluable in informing the research process. She started her career in research over two decades ago and was part of the executive management team for leading global research agencies in this region. She has done studies for development partners, leading global private companies and social enterprises. Specific to FSD she has provided invaluable qualitative deep-dive studies on MSME, women and technology, education for low income households and agricultural value chains. Ms. Matiko holds a Bcom from the University of Nairobi and various accreditations in research methods.
