VIDEO - Building ecosystem for women’s economic empowerment in northern Kenya workshop

The government of Kenya is implementing the Kenya Development Response to Displacement Impact Project (KDRDIP) to address unmet social, economic, and environmental needs in local host communities in Garissa, Wajir, and Turkana Counties of Kenya. The programme is supported by the World Bank.

FSD Kenya in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the World Bank and the KDRDIP national and Wajir, Garissa and Turkana County implementation teams with support from Intellecap Advisory Services Private Limited carried out a gendered gap analysis of the livelihood’s component of project.

The findings of this study will be used to strengthen the design of the KDRDIP programme and present an opportunity to improve the implementation of the livelihoods component for greater women’s economic empowerment (WEE) impact.
