Invitation to tender - Food systems analysis in 14 counties under the green finance for youth employment (GFYE) project

October 14th, 2025

FSD Kenya invites applications from qualified firms to conduct a food systems analysis across 14 counties under the Green Finance for Youth Employment (GFYE) project.

The consultancy will identify scalable, sustainable and bankable business and employment opportunities for youth in Kenya’s food value chains and will inform the design of green investment models and financial solutions that support youth-led enterprises and employment, with a focus on inclusivity (at least 50% of the target group are young women.)

Applicants must demonstrate proven experience in multi-county food systems analysis, youth-focused programmes, and stakeholder engagement and ability to cover  a scope that includes mapping food systems, assessing financial and enterprise support institutions, and profiling youth-led businesses. Outputs will guide capacity building and de-risking interventions under the Green Finance for Youth Employment (GFYE) project.

Proposals must include a technical approach, team composition, CVs, and a separate financial proposal.

Applications must be received by 4:00pm, (East Africa Time), on 3rd November 2025 and should be valid for 6 months. Tenders received after the due time and date will not be accepted. Tenders should be submitted by e-mail using the addresses provided. Tender documents should be as concise as possible and should not exceed a total of 15 pages (excluding annexes). If requested, an acknowledgement of safe receipt of tenders will be provided. Clarification questions may be submitted by 21st October; responses will be issued on 23rd October.
