On Wednesday, March 18th 2026, Placemakers, NACHU, Pngme and FSD Kenya hosted a webinar on the Affordable Housing Waitlist Report.
This webinar presented new, data-driven insights into cooperative housing demand – examining income patterns, savings behaviour, affordability signals, and structured readiness levels across member households.
The findings reposition the “waitlist” not as passive demand, but as a measurable and actionable pipeline, offering practical pathways to move households from initial registration toward financing eligibility through digital profiling and readiness tracking.
Speakers included Joe Deswardt, Larry English of Urbuntu, Mr. Stanley K. Ndungu of NACHU, and Rob Hiff and Lorarine Maina representing Pngme. Together, they explored what the data reveals about financial readiness within cooperatives and what it means for lenders, developers, policymakers, and funders seeking to scale inclusive housing finance.
