Financial education in Kenya: Scoping exercise report

This report is the outcome of a scoping excercise which identifies and explores the interest in and engagement with financial education in Kenya among banks, MFIs, NGOs and SACCOs. The objective of these discussions was to highlight key objectives and themes of a possible future financial education programme in Kenya. This report provides a definition and rationale for financlal education, summarizes current activities in financial education in Kenya, presents profiles of five pilot projects and concludes with a vision for a national framework.
