Robert Homans has over 35 years of experience in the Commercial Finance Industry, both in the United States where he founded and was CEO of a commercial finance company focused on providing financing to SME's engaged in manufacturing food & beverage and personal care products, as well as internationally. In addition to his corporate experience, for approximately the past 20 years Mr. Homans has worked on international donor-funded projects in the former Soviet Union, the Balkans, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. His consulting practice includes work with international donors, international development banks private financial institutions, as well as with regulatory and supervisory bodies. Mr. Homans was the Team Leader and Co-Author of the IFC Global Leasing Toolkit, which has been in continual use by leasing practitioners globally since 2011. The Toolkit has since been translated into Chinese and French.
