Rob Reeve is an Associate of MFX Partners as well as CEO and CoFounder of LexTego. MFX Partners are a partnership dedicated to Digital Financial Services. Staffed by a credible team of real-world practitioners. Lextego are a Fintech building an Open Source Anti Financial Crime platform to support the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s program of accelerating Financial Services for the Poor. Based on the premise that the detection of fraud and money laundering is a shared problem. Rob has a background of 14 years working in the Fintech space across more than 40 countries – working for some of the largest telcos in the world, Rob has worked on innovations in the payment space in developed and developing markets. Before moving into Open Source Software, Rob was the acting COO of a Unicorn Neo Bank in the Netherlands.

In May 2017, a special focus in The Economist likened data to the fuel of the future, noting that “data are to this century what oil was to the last one: a driver of growth and change” predicting that the largest conglomerates of the future will be data-driven firms like Google, Tencent, Amazon, and so on, in much the same way the previous century’s oil and manufacturing conglomerates defined the industrial revolution.
