Ouma Olum joined FSD Kenya in July 2020 as a Climate Finance Specialist. He brings to the organisation more than 10 years of experience as a sustainability expert. He has worked or consulted for a diverse group of clients including governments, bilateral development partners, private organisations, non-governmental organisations, and multilateral organisations such as the UN and AfDB. His particular focus area prior to joining FSD Kenya had been climate change policy and strategy advisory in which he helped deliver or contributed to several projects in the African region in general and Kenya in particular. He has vast experience with the international climate change architecture including climate/green finance instruments such as the Kyoto Protocol mechanisms, the Adaptation Fund, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other bilateral as well as multilateral funds. Mr. Olum holds a BSc in Chemistry from University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a Master of Environmental Science (MESc) from Yale University, USA.
