Mark Flaming is the Chief Business Development Officer of the Microcred Group. He leads the group strategy for transitioning its microfinance institutions to mass market financial institutions. His career spans almost 30 years in developing financial institutions, regulatory frameworks, supervision regimes and funding market instruments in the mass market financial industry. During his career, Mr Flaming has worked for or provided advisory services to financial service providers, regulatory authorities, socially responsible investors and development agencies who are working in developing economies. In the past seven years, he has worked for a wide range of clients in the private commercial and public regulatory sectors related to mobile financial services. Mr. Flaming has a Masters degree in International Development from Harvard University. He speaks, with varying degrees of fluency, English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, French and German. Mr. Flaming currently lives in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
