This annual report highlights FSD Kenya’s work towards a green and inclusive digital economy, focusing on improving financial health for underserved groups. It presents findings from the 2024 FinAccess Household Survey, revealing a plateau in financial inclusion despite increased digital usage, a persistent rural-urban divide, and a shift towards using finance for daily needs rather than long-term growth.
The report also highlights FSD Kenya’s work in 2024 including conversations about open finance in Kenya; the future of SACCOs in supporting low-income households in Kenya; green finance as a catalyst for sustainable development at county level; unlocking transition finance for agri-enterprises in Kenya’s agriculture sector; piloting a climate-smart housing product; and improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes through value-based care.
FSD Kenya collaborated with various partners and stakeholders to conduct research, develop and implement solutions aimed at addressing challenges affecting Kenya’s financial sector and contributing to national development goals.
