REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – KEPROBA EXPORTOR E-PORTAL DEVELOPER

Through a Public Private Development Partnership (PPDP) facilitated by FSD Kenya with grant support from Sida, FSD Kenya supported the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) in conducting a feasibility study on the viability of developing an exporter electronic platform (e-platform) for the Republic of Kenya. Specifically, findings of the study strongly recommended an e-platform with both an exporter’s directory and e-learning platform, among other features, an integral part of the international and national business environment.

In the next phase, FSD Kenya is supporting KEPROBA to identify a development expert software/web development firm to develop and deploy the exporter e-portal to be used mainly by both existing and potential Kenyans exporters, buyers from all over the world and KEPROBA staff. KEPROBA is therefore requesting for proposals from software/web development firms to develop and deploy the exporter e-portal.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Demonstrable evidence of similar work undertaken. Evidence of having implemented at least 4 similar projects is required.
  2. Demonstrable experience in design and implementation of similar solutions as outlined in the detailed ToR.
  3. Project team must meet all requirements outlined in the detailed ToR
  4. Working experience and understanding of Kenya’s trade sector would be an added advantage.

Criteria for shortlisting:

  1. The mandatory preliminary requirements above will be on a yes/no basis and a bidder must comply with all of them to proceed to the technical evaluation.
  2. Demonstrable understanding of the scope of work and ability to provide the required solution.
  3. Demonstrable technical staff competencies, education background and skills in development and deployment of similar initiatives
  4. Firm’s level and depth of relevant experience; demonstrable track record in relevant work
  5. Proposed approach including availability and ability to meet Government timelines.
  6. Cost and value for money
  7. Firm’s due diligence findings
