Social Protection Payments Challenge Fund

Kenya's Financial Sector Deepening programme - FSD Kenya - announced in Nairobi the launch of a new Social Protection Payments Challenge Fund on 5th December 2006. This Fund will support the development of the payment systems needed to make social protection payments across the country. FSD Kenya was established by donors to support the development of inclusive financial markets in Kenya. The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) - a consortium of 33 donor agencies working to improve access to finance for the poor worldwide - is working with FSD to expand the scope of the Fund. 	9th January 2007 - FSD announces full terms of the challenge fund The full terms of the Social Protection Payments Challenge Fund are announced today. Bids are sought from providers or consotia working in the financial sector who have an innnovative solution to delivering social protection payments.
