ABOUT MIKE MCCAFFREY Mike McCaffrey is a Principal Consultant for MicroSave based in Nairobi, Kenya. He manages The Helix Institute of Digital Finance, which provides world class training in strategic operations for banks, telecoms, and third party providers globally, as well as the Agent Network Accelerator (ANA) programme which conducts large scale quantitative research on agent networks in key countries in Africa and Asia (the project has conducted over 22,000 interviews in its first two years). Mike has worked in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific. Formerly, Mike was a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia, a Regional Coordinator at Innovations for Poverty Action, and the Financial Inclusion Technical Specialist for the UNCDF South Pacific regional initiative called PFIP. Mike attended the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, receiving a master's degree in Development Economics & a graduate certificate in Science, Technology & Environmental Policy. He also holds B.A. degrees in Economics & Psychology from the University of California.
