Esther has extensive experience in the financial and agribusiness industries. She previously headed the Value Chain Finance Centre at FSD Kenya. Before this, she worked as the Rural and Agricultural Product Specialist/Deputy Team Leader of USAID/Financial Inclusion for Rural Microenterprises (FIRM) program. Prior to that she worked on the USAID/East Africa Competitiveness and Trade Expansion Program (COMPETE) as a finance specialist. She served as the Head of Finance of the Africa Trade Insurance Agency, which specializes in political and trade insurance, and the Chief Accountant of Syngenta, a leading agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from the University of Nairobi.
